Flight Training |
| |
45 hours minimum, comprising: |

- 17 hours dual instrument Including
3 hours cross-country and 5 hours instrument
- 12 hours solo (with at least 5 hours cross-country experience including a flight of 150 nm.
with 2 stops at points other than the point of departure.
- 5 dual hours may be completed in an approved Flight Training Device or Simulator.

Ground School Training |
The minimum requirement is for 40 hours of approved instruction. |
Written Examination |
To attempt the written examination the applicant must hold a licence Validation Certificate (Canadian Medical) and possess a letter certifying competence to attempt the test, completion of 10 hours flight training and completion of a ground school course. |
Flight Test |
To attempt the flight test the applicant must have completed at least 35 hours of flight training and have a recommendation letter from a qualified Flight Instructor. |
